According to a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/technology-10929159 \">BBC interview<\/a> with one of the researchers, &#8220;. . . the team had planned to process the batches on a supercomputer. &#8216;Then Google stepped forward and offered to run the computation,&#8217; he said. &#8216;We still don&#8217;t know what machinery they used.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>And in both its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wired.com\/gadgetlab\/2010\/08\/google-rubiks-cube\/\">US<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wired.co.uk\/news\/archive\/2010-08\/11\/rubiks-cube-solved-puzzle-google\">UK<\/a> editions, Wired said that Google does not respond to hardware questions.<\/p>\n<p>Cloud? Cluster?
